Cycling through the stages of the Giro d’Italia and thorugh the competition of the sport Daniele de Lonti proposes the epos of the travel through Italy. As a hypothetical today’s Grand Tour the author crosses the peninsula to tell us places, architecture, space, history and the beautiful scenery of Italy. The Italian landscape, like a stage, with a unified identity, reveals its complexity and diversity. Through a slow maturation of the eye, an evocative tale of great visual and formal balance emerges, a tale that can, however, convey amazement, surprise, joy.
