Za’atari refugee camp is the biggest camp in Jordan. With 110.000 inhabitants its the 4th largest in the word. The World Food Program started together with to commercial partners a new way of food distribution, through supermarktes!. Compleet with weekly discounts and raffle tickets to win a washing machine or a cooking stove. The refugees can pay with a special creditcard. Every month the get 20 dollar a person in the family. A spokesman from the wfp told me that with the introduction of this system people where more happy because they can controle there own needs again.
