Another Day In Paradise is a phrase I remember my father saying as a child when responding to a question about his wellbeing. Thinking back on that simple statement now, at a time when I'm twentysix and have my fair share of concerns, I admire the idea that the events and situations that make up the everyday could in fact be paradise, an ideal place of harmony. This view would seem to stand in opposition to most of the conflicts and worries that make up our daily lives, but what if this place we live is in fact Paradise? What if we are meant to spend our days toiling the earth and longing for something we can't grasp? What if tragedy and sorrow still exist and are both good and beautiful in their own right?
