The amazing thing about the Sex Pistols was the people they attracted," says Julien Temple. "That summer, the view on Oxford Street was beautiful. The sun was setting in Marble Arch and the light was incredible: it evoked a truly epic feeling. I remember Sue Catwoman walking down that Victorian street wearing a sheer raincoat, with the sunlight shining on it from behind. They were like a velcro ball that all those people clung to: like a snowball rolling down a slope.
