Top of the World

Top of the World is a long term documentary project, I started working on in 2008.
I am fascinated by places that are attracting the International Jet Set since almost 60 years. Places like St. Moritz, but also St. Tropez or Monaco. That’s all villages , that became through the Media, and especially the developing of the Boulevard press in the 50′ and 60′ places with an “Ueber-Image”.
I photograph the people, that do everything, to be part of this Ueber- Image.
The fur was always a part of St. Moritz and St. Moritz is one of the few places in the World, where you still can wear a fur without being Judged for that, but also there it’s a Statement, and for me a beautiful metaphor.
