My artwork is an expression of my combined interests in culture, history, and memory, which I actively investigate by asking fundamental questions of who we are, where we come from, and where we are headed. My work allow me to place my personal history into perspective, but also the larger history that connects us to the cosmos. The use of found artifacts is elemental to my work. These materials have a story to tell and I hope to tell it in the most metaphorical and respectful ways.

The processes used in my work represent my interest in the sciences and photographic techniques. I am known for innovating and exploring alternative 19 century photographic processes such as chlorophyll prints, daguerreotypes, and digital/analogue hybrid. Photography has allowed me to explore the world in terms of landscape, history, war, evidence, and justice.
