2008-2009 explores the foreclosure crisis that affected Minnesota during the last US economic recession. I fixed up and maintained foreclosed homes for national and international banks and investment firms with my step-father in Minnesota after graduating from art school. We changed the locks on days residents moved out, removed things that had been left behind, and renovated the properties for resale. For 16 months, I was intimately enmeshed within the US foreclosure crisis. This project documents of that time.
