My grandfather was a hunter.
Once when my cousin and I were playing in the basement we found dead animals hanging from the ceiling.
We were completely shocked and upset but on the other hand we were very much fascinated by the beauty and stillness of these animals.
So we made plans how to get them alive again. We took them from the hook and put them in a warm cosy bed of our grandparents and gave them food.
My granny wasn’t very pleased when she found the bloody duck and rabbit in her bed. I guess this experience is the inspiration for my still-life photos.
I m still fascinated by the combination of attraction and repulsiveness and the human life with its tender traditions and decadent customs.
